Hello,
This is my first post so I'd like to introduce myself.
I am from Melbourne Australia and am restoring a P5B Coupe which was originally a UK home market car but was imported near new to Australia.
The car has been stored for a significant period (30 years) and has reaped the rewards of living in the dry as it is rust free save for some small cosmetic flaws. The car is Bordeaux with Silver Birch roof and Buckskin trim.
The car has just been mechanically restored using new old stock parts where possible (2 years work and 20 years collecting parts) right down to a genuine exhaust with chrome tips and under bonnet labels.
Mechanically complete, I have turned my attention to the body and interior. The interior has presented one key problem in that the seat foam is extensively damaged by the sun and requires replacement and as I intend this car to be as close to perfect as possible I would like to find some new/used seat foam to ensure the correct shape of the rear seats.
Is there anyone out there who may be able to assist me in sourcing some good seat foam?
Kind Regards,
RBII

Hopefully you can see how the deteriorated foam can be replaced around the edge of the seat to restore it's shape. I used a composite foam intended for use as carpet underlay. All four seats cost less than £10 " cheap as chips"
