Hi.we were married in 1987 and our wedding car was a rover P5? It was hired from a guy in Dalrymple, Ayrshire who was a bit of an enthusiast.Owning 2 of them. Thats all I can remember. Is this you? What happened to the cars?We have fond memories of them.Just curious.

Have you a photograph that you can share with us that might assist with tracing the car?

With that colour scheme it seems it was a P5 Saloon, rather then a P5B saloon.

Could be burnt grey or admiralty blue over silver birch. Reg number would help from any wedding pics.

I don't know the cars or the man but I know a Rover nut who lives a few miles away, I am sure he will know of them.
Are you Local to Ayrshire still?

This must be the longest running thread ever ! I keep popping in to see if there is any updates. So, no sorry I am afraid no trace of the car or the owner although I was told he might have been an architect and the rovers were his hobby. The car was in great condition in 1987 and was last road taxed in 1993. Surely it didnt go from good condition to scrap in 6 years..........then again maybe it did.

Longest running and by someone apparently economic with his post very well. The ad is great! It might have been exported too, my P5 was imported to the US in the 90s...
