Oh Richard that a bit too soon Where have they started to split? from the bonding or the rubber itself? IMHO neither should have happened yet! unless the springs were so bad they were inverting I don't think this will be so in your case.

Hi John, fortunately not from the bonding.....yet! Maybe I'm overreacting but I didn't expect ANY deterioration after just 4 months Probably a long time to go before too obvious but I reckon an over-zealous fussy MOT inspector could get a bit jumpy. The springs are in good shape but the car is parked on a slight sideways slope so maybe some twisting action in place. The images are the n/s & the o/s is similar. Whilst I agree a normal shackle would have been better the Y bush does work well and lasts a long time even though it looks as if it will not

Please don't call me Shurley When the bushes are new they come with some sort of painted finish which is now flaking off. The splits are in the rubber Even I'm not that dopey
