Hello, A few weeks ago I registered after buying a 1963 Rover P5 3 litre mkII. I'm french and live in Corrèze. I like English cars and currently have a Jaguar XJC, a Rover P6 3500S, a Rover P6 2200TC. I do most of the mechanical work on my car alone even though I am not a mechanic. I bought the 2200 TC out of order and restarted it last year ; after some weeks, i drived it in a tourist rally in Portugal without any kind of problem... 4500km after, it always drive well. My P5 is beautiful but needs some works to obtain french control technics : the day i bought it, brakes failed and the clutch needs to be tune or replaced... The car has undergone some small modifications over the years and I want to make it conform to the origin. I hope to find help here

Welcome, Pierre. There is a wealth of information on here but you must obtain the official Rover Workshop Manual and preferably a Parts List.
The servos give problems and new ones are unavailable. Reconditioned ones do not last either so it is better to fit a Lockheed Type 7 as fitted to the P5B models. These are available new from Wadhams. The Inlet manifold has to be removed to access so you will need the gasket
There is plenty on Search about this and other matters
Very nice rare car you have and you will find it very reliable if serviced regularly

Hi Pierre, Your P5 looks great. I am really quite near to you, a little south in the Tarn at Castelnau de Montmiral. It would be great to meet up sometime when you have got things going with the servo. I have a 1973 P5B Coupé. Its good to have another Rover down this way. kind regards, Tarnowl.

Hi (French and British) P5 owners living here in France. I have a LHD Arden green saloon which I bought in NL a year or so ago. I live in Charente and would be happy to get together with other owners in central and South western France. Most of the Rover club de France activities seem to be focused on Paris and its environs. No idea how to add a photo, but if I work it out then I will. BOZ

Bonjour Monsieur Boz,
Welcome to the Forum. I am just a few hours South of you in the Tarn, North East of Toulouse. Would love to meet up some time, but my P5B Coupé is in the process of restoration, so it may be some time. Great to have another like minded person here in France.😊
