My Coupe has really been out of action for the best part of a year, virtually since I started the repairs to the cracked case BW35 transmission in May 2017. The transmission was the primary focus but one job led to another. There seemed to be an almost unrelenting list of unrelated but needed repairs...some mechanical and others essentially aesthetic. One of the last tasks was to have the front bumper ends, over-riders and 2 driving light trim rings rechromed.
When I first fitted the aircon system many moons ago I also modified the bumper ends to accommodate the condensor air intake that I fabricated and fitted to the front of the car. This in part meant sectioning some of the front bumper pieces. These pieces weren't rechromed at the time. The driving lights (antique French Ducelliers) surrounds weren't chromed either and the frontal area of the car had years of stone chips...another task.It was all functional but lacked the 'bling' appeal of bright chrome work. Here are a few pix in sequence of the work recently done and the freshly chromed pieces now in place.
