A few months ago a had an enquiry regarding a rolls Royce silver shadow which had been laid up for a few years, being someone not to turn anything away I had to go and take a look The garage doors were opened and this is what greeted us, A 1973 Rolls-Royce silver shadow with 4 previous owners and mileage showing only 25,000miles Attachment DeletedThis week I sorted the trailer and got it to my workshop and today I thought I’d give it 30 mins of my time and it has fired but not ran yet! A set of contact breaker points ordered and I’ll give it another try interior wise leather is very good but the wood has suffered but all restorable, brakes are free and wheel trims are also there, front wings need some help but not something I can’t get sorted interior wise the Rolls and the Rover are extremely similar I think, I’ll get some more pics tomorrow

You can make a small fortune with a Rolls Royce, unfortunately you have to start with a large one.

Haha yes indeed, I’ve got it running and brakes aren’t seized and it’s very solid underneath so it will at least get MOT’ed next week and see what happens from there!

Few more pics, I’ve now got it running, fuel pump points where corroded and one carb the butterfly had seized but now freed off and I’ve actually driven it under its own power around the yard! I must say the steering is so light! Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Good to hear it runs and drives because parts are a bit pricier then the Rover ones. Looks rather solid but in need of a fair bit of TLC

The sad thing is if it had been a Coupé in similar condition it would be worth more lol
