I haven't put this in modified as its only a P5 picture. Beware for those of a nervous disposition that it is in fact a picture of a modified Rover I intend to complete. I've had the project for years part done but I've always wanted to see what it would look like completed. So I managed to find a very talented artist who specialises in hand drawn pictures of old custom cars and classic cars. His name is Lee Effeny and I found him on facebook. Anyway from a few reference photos and a description from me he drew this outline rendering which will be coloured in stages as he completes his work. I'm very pleased with it and look forward to the next instalment which I will share with you. Attachment Deleted

That's either a very wide body Roy or a short back axle

Hi, I just realised I never came back with the finished article. I actually got him to do 2 renderings for me. The first is my convertible project that is currently in 2 door limbo, and how I want it to end up. Inspired by Greased Lightning in my youth! The second is a rendering of my 'main' P5 which is the 1971 Earls court show car for Rover. The only difference in the rendering of bigger wheels and a lower stance because I just think it looks cool! Personal taste I know. But here you go. Β£200 well spent for the artists time in my opinion.. I have the originals as A3 hand drawn in ink.

No comments at all? What a shame. I thought that even if you don't like the modifications that have been pictured, at least you might like the skill taken to actually draw these??

Trying to remember a funny world-beating speech by UK Justine Greening MP who concluded a boring speech with an open mouth expecting a hilarious response, but none came! Someone please find the video! Just goes to show that not everyone shares our enthusiasm sometimes! Enjoy your project anyway.

No wonder the facebook pages are busier...but only just!
If I'm being generous, I think this sums it up...
βIt was not apathy. It was an intelligent disinterest in those things that could have no bearing on one's existence.β
As you were gentlemen...

I shall come to the rescue! I really do like the open top project. Zero maintenance aircon to boot.

I can't really see it properly, Roy. Unlike the first sketch which fills the screen, this one barely increases in size when I click on the thumbnail.

Thanks Roy. Very nice. I can even zoom in on this one and retain clarity. The other one just went all pixelated. Is that a cat asleep on the rear parcel shelf?

John, negative camber is good!.. a bit anyway Warwick that would be Garfield, when I was 17 I bought my first coupe (unable to drive). It was a basket case underneath and I bought myself a Garfield to go on the back shelf when it was done. I had a real thing fro Garfield in the 80s! Anyway last year I came across Garfield in a box in the attic and realised he had never had his true place... so he was installed and Lee Effeny must have spotted him (somehow) from the base photos I sent him to base his drawing on. Garfield is getting on for 33 years old now and as good as the day I bought him

I like a bit of art. A nice job. I had a pupil paint mine in oils in a less flattering view as it was under resto. I did pay him to help with his uni fees. Attachments:

Glenn, you could of course send it back to him so he can finish it.
