Just for a bit of fun since the season as it is called is about to being which appears to be Easter for most folk, where are you going to go on your first outing with your Rover and what are you most looking forward to doing. I do realise that some are already out and about so to you the question is where have you already been to?

I started my lovely coupe yesterday for the first time since last November, She sounded as sweet as ever and is now off her axle stands and ready for her first run, which should be this week, weather permitting. Today I went to Rye, in East Sussex, as I went into the town, on my motor bike, who should be comming the other way ? Richard and Anne Bryant in Anne's immaculate yellow Vauxhall Viva, which I believe she had new.

Go out most days in all our Rovers throughout the year - been out tonight in the P5 Coupe to the local hostelry but as a passenger coming home. The P4 is the first rally this year for us at the P4DG National at Burleigh House on 12 May. This or the P5B will be touring Ireland in June - BREXIT permitting

I did have mine out the weekend before last for a wash and a run I did about 100 miles over the 3 days then it was put away again and it will reappear next Mon for a service and a few finishing touches to it after the restoration work from last year. Hopefully we will use it over Easter. I'm thinking of taking it to Scotland in June for a long weekend, it should be OK but it's never been that far from home since I've been it's owner. I have faith in it and I guess if we don't have that we will never be able to use it for some of the the things we want to do with it

Both my Aston & Rover are booked in for at least 8 shows between them over the coming months. Ive been busy prepping mine and just received my service kit today from Gordon @ Rover part London. Hope you have a great season this year showing off yours . Best regards,

I have done it every September since 2005 and in June there is a lot of daylight. I would avoid single track roads where possible as they can be a bit nerve racking and hard on the brakes ! If you have brake down insurance you should be OK

Port Patrick is our destination in June it is a place we know well and it will be a good run for the Rover, I'm sure it'll be fine and it's just me being a bit apprehensive

Picking mine up in Stavanger hopefully next week, then it will be a 300 mile drive home to Oslo on the first day to get acquainted.
I cannot possibly see how this could go wrong. 😊
Verry much looking forward to my first proper drive in my P5b

Well it ended up being a bit later than I had planned, but picked it up yesterday.
All 300+ miles went well. However, there was rain/wet roads for most of the trip, and the window wipers weren't exactly great.
Does anyone have any tips here? is it just a question of buying new blades or are there other things that can be done. It occurs to me that the mechanism doesn't look like it will ever be great, but interested to hear any other ideas.
Also, is there somewhere I can download a copy of the Owners instruction manual, as that seems to be missing?
Will follow up with more pictures and info as I get to it.

Wipers work well if rubbers are good but arm springs weaken and some oil on the pivots works wonders. I think the club sells the handbook and they appear on Ebay s/h.
Whatever you will need the worshop manual and a parts list and I they are available from the club

The wipers should work very well, perhaps get some new ones and give the screen a good clean. It might pay to take the mechanism apart and clean and regrease it.

bear in mind that car auto-washers are inclined to spray waxes over the glass as well as the painted bodywork - doesn't help much to keep windscreens clear.
