Hi all, Just on the off chance: does anyone have the instruction booklet that went with the SR/D 409 Smiths Industries automotive electrical instrument tester as used by garages in the seventies of the last century? This nice little gadget in a wooden box (see below) should be very useful for testing Smiths temperature and fuel gauges and transmitters. I have the box, but am in need of instructions, as I want to test an oil temp gauge. Anyone? Copies of the booklet, scans, pictures, anything would be quite helpful. Cheers, Benedict

Thanks John. Appreciate it's an old posting I'm replying to but the mention of the Smith's instrument tester made me curious to know a bit more which is why I found the one on Ebay!

Yes, saw the post, followed the link, made a screen capture of the instructions. Although the tester type differs from the one I have, the procedure description certainly helps, so thanks Nick! Regards, Benedict
