The board can only keep you logged in if it recognises you. This can only be done one of 2 ways by placing a cookie on your machine or logging IP addresses (cookies is better). A small text file is uploaded automatically to your cookie folder that tells the site you have been before this site loads two One called “roverp5user” and one called “roverp5pass” if you don’t have cookies’ enabled the site will not recognise you. You can change you cookie options I have mine set to ask me every time a site tries to store a cookie. Some options allow all cookies, some allow but delete at end of session, and some setting will not allow any cookies. Sometimes in a sudden unexpected shutdown cookies are lost and sometimes users delete them when using anti spy ware software or during routine maintenance. But you must allow the cookie to be set in order to remain permanently logged on when you revisit.

When I log in I am told that my details do not match and I am invited to log in again. I then go into a loop time and time again. But I discovered by accident that if I press 'HOME' I am logged in anyway! This has only happened since the 'upgrade'.

Could be you have not entered the revised password (new since the update).
Enter your email or password in 'Forgotten your password?' which can be found next the the log in info and the new one will be emailed to you direct.

When I log in I am taken straight back to the log in page and asked to log in ad infinitum. However, if I press HOME I find that I am logged in after all! It has happened only since the update of the site.
