Hi Warwick. I re-kitted the servo, but found the actual problem! Brian said the brake master cylinder was rebuilt but i decided to check it anyway, after pulling it apart it does appear to have been recently rebuilt BUT instead of a steel piston inside it has a plastic or nylon one that was stuck hard inside! I had to hammer it out! I have a complete spare master cylinder with a good steel piston (which i tested and glides through nicely), i am buying the correct seal for it this week from Scotts. I called scott today and he's never heard of a plastic piston?? The bores look great, so once i get the right seal i will have brakes, fingers crossed! The plastic piston goes in ok but for only 1" then gets stuck. Regards Bruno

John,
At what point is it considered to be a plague? Or is that a technical question for Admin?

All part of an elaborate plan John, dating back a couple of hundred years.

Welcome Jens, You're the first from Denmark in this thread. Apparently. There are quite a few more Rovers in Denmark as well as a Rover club, roverownersclub.dk/. I have just got a Rover this summer and joined the British Rover P5 Club and Rover Owners Club Danmark, so I am still a newbie in this world. Thanks, Jens.

That gives you the best of both worlds Jens. The local club for local contact, people, activities and support, plus the detailed focus on your model and the technical support that this club and forum provide.

Welcome Jaykay,
The only other poster we've had from SA hasn't logged on since he joined nearly 5 years ago.

Thank you Warwick!
Don't know the other SA owner - maybe he doesn't have the Rover anymore? Don't see a lot of them around in SA. Do know about a Mark II that is up for sale in Cape Town. With our nice dry weather in Gauteng (province in SA) my Rover is totally rust free and an absolute pleasure to drive.

Hi Warwick,
Nope I have not seen that pic before, I do however recognise two distinct features. The first being the P5 and the second the typical "Pierneef"-trees indigenous to Africa.
Care to share?

It's just a photo from the web that was first posted here several years ago. Can't remember in which thread or by whom. Might have been me as it's in my Photobucket folders. We even managed to establish when it was taken, and perhaps who was driving, but I can't remember that either.
Just thought you might like it as it is so clearly Africa. I didn't know the name of the trees, but they're unmistakeable.
PS. Admin, any idea why the photo is so small? It is the same size (pixels) as posted previously when it almost filled the screen.
