Absolutely no signs of cavitation on that pump and the impellor is in remarkably good shape too.

Thank you warwick, sorry fo Kodak So, if the engine looks not so bad, the next thread would be "V8: the rebuild in color pictures" !! Yes, systematic engine photos is a great idea. (P.S. - I hope my comment about Kodak was understood. I was trying to say that you've taken so many photos that they probably could have survived on your business alone.)

Warwick,I understood very well what you meant for Kodak and it gave me a good laugh!
I have another P5B Coupé with the engine not running. It ran well and a morning, it starts then coughs and stops. We try to fix it, change a lot a things (starter motor, coil, condenser, wires...) we removed the carbs, cleaned them and fed them directly from a plastc tank. So the engine had electricity, petrol but refused to run more than a few seconds. So we decided to put the engine out and see what's inside. My idea is to find what's wrong and fix it or may be rebuild the whole engine. I'll do pictures at every stage and put them in a thread only dedicated to the engine. You can look at it and post coments or advices on the work . What do you think of it?

I've only just found them. Makes my marathon head gasket replacement look ridiculous.

Warwick, the aerial on the P5 was on the right wing, so no pictures.
I'm busy those days so not often on the forum, sorry. My V8 rebuilding is on stand by too.

Thanks John & Cyf.
Mine is on the right wing too. A motorized one that doesn't "motor". The original has been removed, the hole welded up, and the roof repainted.
I was just wondering how difficult it would be to put one back on the roof.

John,
I've just had a deja vu moment. I have this vague recollection that you might have sent me one about 4 years ago with some other goodies. Must check the P5B shelf in the shed.
I was thinking more about the access from inside the car to fit the washers and nut, and run the co-ax, with a good headlining in place.
