Do you still have an AED?
The vent from the AED float chamber can be re routed to ground, but the intake on the nearside elbow should be fitted with some form of filter, such as the small breather filters available. A similar breather / filter needs to be fitted to the manifold breather at the rear, (the fuel filter one).

Thanks crossplies , this actually has saved me a lot of work.
My plan to afix the small filters to the bulkhead has now been shelved . I will fix them as close as possible to the carb filters.

You might need to rejet your carbs. I got quite a flat spot on acceleration after fitting k&n's

They are for sale on ebay for £26.61 each and you will need two. Or, the club now sells two Coopers air filters for £12 including P & P. No Vat TWO Coopers air filters for the P5B. £9.50p (NO VAT)Postage UK = £2.50 • Postage EU = £3.50

I fitted two RC 2600 and two crankcase filters the shop had on the shelf , these i made fit by buying new hoses . The 2600 are chromed and look better then the big old filter box, i need to make a bracket for the accelerater cables .. a job when im back in Norway and its not minus. I drove the car for a short run ,it seemed alot more responsive idled better and sounded better.

Hi, hope you have arrived well. The weather delivered snowfalls t around 0 degrees which converted quickly into a muddy mess. Meanwhile harsh frost has reengaged. You didn't drive the P5, really ? Regards Mark

Hi Mark No the P5B is in Norway. Plan to bring her down in the summer ,,, or get the ferry from Bergen til Newcastle , then ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao. Depends on the ferry routes. Im in a hotel at Bad Bramstadt , whilst winter tyres get fitted to my Touran. :-O -11 in Belgium yesterday -9 most of the way til Hamburg then it was a balmy -3. Hamburg was clear of traffic first time ive seen it that good guess they only dig the roads up for the tourist in the summer.:-) Dean
