I don't know if anyone went to see this film about Margaret Thatcher. I didn't.
I was browsing You Tube and there were some out takes of the making of the film and Margaret correctly arrives in Downing Street in 1979 in a black P5b Saloon and I think the reg is RRO 355H.
The owner is probably not a member or visitor to the forum because I'm sure we would have known by now but I bet there's an interesting story to be told for Take 5.
I was amazed to see just how much the car had been rigged up to allow the correct shots. As these You Tube excerpts were only short, I don't know how much more appearance the Rover made but probably not much as they had been replaced by 1981/82 I think.

This is a lonely thread I just find it interesting that a P5B is found to make a fairly high profile film yet no one seems to know anything about it. In the trailers I've seen, classic cars are in abundance as MT's life is documented. I'm going to watch the film on "pay as you view" at some stage.

Well, I realise that this thread won't win any prizes for "most read and commented on" but I thought I would bring it to peaceful end by reporting that I've now seen the film.
Very little P5b action. Only some archive shots of MT's arrival in Downing Street and a few of some comings and goings to Buckingham Palace after the election success.
The Black saloon featured in the out take isn't shown at all apart from an internal shot showing Meryll Streep and Jim Broadbent arriving at No10.
I enjoyed the film and without going into details it has something in it for both admirers and haters of Margaret Thatcher.
