Here is a picture of the only bunt grey coupe i could find,(not with a black roof i am afraid ), i know it is missing some trim, along with black wings, but the colour seems to compliment all the brightwork well,i do have a pic of a saloon, but it is not the best photo. Surely someone has a good photo of a burnt grey coupe, with a black roof , i dont even mind if it has whitewalls ;D

Petervdvelde, have you got a timescale to finish the job?! How many hours a week do you put in. Restorations don't get more extreme than yours

Thanks all for the compliments. Crossplies I don't have a timescale for it but hope to be ready in about 4 years. As work and family allow it, i spend about 15-20 hours a week in my garage. This includes maintenance jobs on my MG and 3 classic motorbikes which i restored in the past. I work as an interim manager and between assignments, i work full time on the car. In 2012 that were 6 (happy) weeks. Andy, yes i have a wife who has patience and also likes to do her own things. My first classic, i had before i met here so she got used to me spending time in the garage. No problem with the neighbors as i am 2 meters tall and over 100kg The color i am considering will be blue with a grey roof although i like dark red cars with a grey or white roof also. Still not 100% sure. Regards Peter

Very nice work. You can get the dust covers from JR Wadhams. They also appear on Ebay from time to time. It sounds like you're the sort of guy who could have pressed in the collar without a press

Yes peter, the colour will be the hardest bit, they look great in any combination,it will be down to your taste. unfortunately here in the U.K , noise seems to be a real problem in residential areas, from dogs barking,to angle grinders, our local councils seem to have a dim view of our personal tastes for activities, which may upset someone else. There was a story in which a comercial airline pilot tried to put a noise order on a school playground, because the children made too much noise. That is the kind of attitude we here are up against. I have not forgotten you regarding the autobox cables,my project has come to a halt at the moment,

Well, the camping P5 is really not my cup of tea.
Who are those men Stan? (French member inside)
Talking of unknown celebrities on this side of the Channel, I first heard of Jimmy Savile yesterday and they showed some pictures of him. And what did I saw? A rover P5 in the background when he was made a Sir (I think it's in an ITV program)
