Thanks Nico,
Thats is a rather easy way to do it. I will consider it for the future. I have never seen this set up but it should work.

Thank you Nico for posting that info...although my Dutch is not quite as fluid as I'd like it to be! I've book marked it and will attempt an English translation then move it to a separate thread for other interested parties.

Haven't spend much time in the workshop. The car runs very well now, no ignition problems anymore so the fault must have been the Powerspark pick up or amplifier. Need to get some items powdercoated for my project Rover and it is a good moment to get a battery box powder coated for the daily P5 as i knew the one in the car is not to good. I had a spare battery box which i had in the boot as storage for some tools and spare parts which i like to carry with me. Then made a tray out of stainless sheet to position above the LPG tank which is lost storage room. Formed it with a friend metal sheet folder and welded the corners welded some brackets to the tray so the connections of the petrol tank cover could be used and also made some brackets on the underside of the tray so it is clamped by the straps of the LPG tank Then applied some black vinyl And now tools and spare are neatly stored The spare battery box also had a poor bottom and the lower parts of 2 sides also need work. Cut out the bottom and welded in repair pies into the 2 side panels using a copper sheet to absorp some heat and avoid that the holes were created Made a wooden jig to make the bended outers of the hole and hammered it in And made holes into the new bottom for the plug welds After welding grinding the welds back and made 1 new side bracket and a battery retaing bracket as these were missing Thats it for now Peter

Quit a long time since the last post! The car clocks up the km's without any problems and i enjoy driving it very much. D id a fair bid of motorway drives at 120 - 130 km/hr and it relaxed to drive with the ZF boxes (gear and steering). Actually needs a good clean and looking forward to remove the rostyles with winter tyres and fit the Jensen alloys soon! It nice that the car has a clean sheet of the urgent "tov do" list. Later i will fit the renovated battery box

Oh dear! I was serialising Peters exploits in Take Five. With all the photos now gone (thanks Photobucket!) , it looks like Peters 'new purchase' articles will come to a halt in the magazine

David,
It may be wise to contact the admin of Retrorides as they found a way to retrieve all Photobucket pictures. I don't know how difficult it is but it seems possible and it would be good as there is a lot of valuable information posted on this forum. For example the thread of Cyf in which he describes the dismantling of his parts Rover. That thread gave me a lot of valuable information when building my project Rover. And there are much more valuable threads like Andy thread with rebuilding the BW35, John with various build threads of his pristine Coupe and lots of others.

Hi,
I have recently started to browse this forum and I don't seem to get any pictures appearing. I was especially hoping to see the ones for the BW35 rebuild. Is there some general problem with Photobucket, or is there something I need to do to see the pictures?

Is there some general problem with Photobucket, or is there something I need to do to see the pictures? Photobucket who host our pictures have decided to charge silly money to use their services so like me the guys have decided not to pay

Assuming that the originals are still held by the authors, perhaps the photos could be made into a series of slide shows and uploaded to you tube for free?

It is still possible to see the photos. Right click on image box. Select 'copy image address'. Paste into search bar at top of the page. Click on the return button. Not exactly simple, but might be worth it.

it seems if you "edit" the thread and then add "~original" to the URL of the picture, the picture is visible again. Don't know how long this will last as PB may block this. For now the pictures are visible again

Gave the Rover a wash today and checked all the fluid levels also gave the interior a clean. There was a fair bit of dirt or "paint" from my jeans on the driver seat but it cleaned up well and after the cleaning it got a treatment with leather cream. I had doubts about refurbishing and painting old leather, especially when it is 40+ years old but after 8 month of daily use, i must say its holding very well. Peter

the winter tyres with the painted Rostyles were fitted last week and today it was good i had these on the car The car starts good on LPG with the current low temperatures which is nice as you hear a lot of horror story's about poor starting classic cars on LPG Peter
