tinyurl.com/m9kvwskTypical Johnny-come-lately 4x4 owners. You wouldn't find a Land-Rover owner behaving like this!

Think you guys mean light traffic?! There was some. They get Saharan sand there too just like we do.

I teach this as part of the "Pass Plus" scheme. That is why the M25 is shut so often.

Just what exactly is going on with the diffs?

OMG! they are not even wearing shoes. I suspect the driver is just touching the brake to keep the out wheels still. I bet the diferentials are whining like crazy.

Just what exactly is going on with the diffs? My guess is that it's a heavily modified vehicle intended for this purpose, so there's probably a split braking system to allow those wheels to be locked. You couldn't drive at that unnatural angle for that long without engine lubrication problems, diff and possibly gearbox lubrication problems, and fuel pick-up or leakage problems. The driver and passengers couldn't do it so well unless they'd all done it many many times before. I would have been more impressed if they'd started off with a flat tyre, or arranged to have one blow while driving, and then replaced it with the spare.

Also I'm surprised the tyres didn't burst.
Brilliant ( mental ) video to watch though!
