Very good David. Lets hope the message gets home to the people who still use their phones. Maybe a years ban on driving would help.

Yes very true ad. I find myself traveling many motorway miles these days, and it am still amazed at how many use their phone whilst at the wheel, texting whilst driving is my pet hate, and I am sorry to say girls are the worst offenders that I have noticed.

Strange; they look like gumtrees.

A very good advert but surely their mobiles would have been turned off before the film started or is that only a UK request? It makes the point though.

In Victoria, probationary drivers aren't even permitted to use hands-free phone devices. The state roads authority has a smart phone app available that will stop your phone making any sound while you are driving, and it will automatically send a text back to the person phoning or texting to say that you are driving and will reply later. I think it can also be set to activate automatically when you drive, using the GPS function to detect that you're travelling on a road.
