Hi, the only topic related to my question was an old poll on Jubilee (band type) vs. Gemelli (double wire type) hose clamps. No one participated however. The Jubilee clamps are still available. They are thickly zinc plated from the internet photo looks. And they are not cheap. Or should I go for sth. like Rapid which are 1,4 cm wide and fully stainless steel and even a little cheaper. They use them in German classic car restoring. Other manufacturer, possibly from Britain, is Mikalor. They even sell coloured clamps for concours purposes. Stailess steel is readily available. At the moment the only clamps I can get hold of locally are Norma clamps, they are not even the ones with the blue closure. And being the cheapest they tend to rust after 5 years in heavy use. What are your experiences ? What is original ? Where do you source ? Thanks. Mark

British Jubilee hose clips are the best and use stainless steel, as nothing looks worse then rusty hose clips. I would not use the wire ones.

I agree about looks but stainless types slip and loosen I find. I have to keep tightening them and they can cut into the hose more readily. Besides not "original"

The air in my tyres is not original.
