Hi all, My blower motor has packed in. There are 12 Volts and a good earth on the poles but it refuses to run. Is the motor repairable and if not: what would be a good substitute? A motor from a Defender perhaps? I have a LandRover dealer not far from here. Thnx best regards Guus

Thnx best regards Guus Hi Guus I used the internals from the front blower to repair my rear heater blower earlier in the year, the field winding's had burnt out they were slightly different the front armature/field coils were a better construction than the rear! It's worth taking your motor apart and having a look

Thnx Guus Guus are you trying to remover the motor or the complete blower unit? From memory its three nuts to remove the motor/fan and the bulkhead fixings are then accessible through the motor aperture.

Ah, ok! Yes I want to remove the complete unit! In my case the motor/fan is fitted with pop rivets , so I will have to cut them out! So after removal of the motor, I will be able to access the screws that holds the overall unit. Thanks John!
