As you can see there are so many choices, I got something simular to the wing. That is the model MB 321c. The bullet style looks wrong in my point view. But each to there own

I know you say you are going over to door mirrors for safety, but I used a door mirror and found it had such a bad blind spot that I did away with it and just stuck with the wing mirrors which I thought were much better.

The bullet style looks wrong in my point view. Yes, I wondered about that and why Wadhams offered them as one of their two P5 door mirror styles. I'd need to see it actually on the car to know if it looks odd or good though.

I do remember the last door mirrors I installed did seem better than the wing ones they replaced but I'm not sure they were the correct period ones.

I made the mistake of buying the style of mirror at the top of the page in the Tex link. Just about OK on the drivers side but the passenger side mirror is too low and the bottom of the mirror is obscured by the door. Maybe it would be OK if I was 6 inches taller...

I made the mistake of buying the style of mirror at the top of the page in the Tex link. Yes, it is a tricky one. How about the large round mirrors? I've seen these on both wings and doors of P5s (even the Queen's I believe) and they do look suitably grand and old fashioned, plus the generous mirror size should give plenty of visual information.
