I have the entire power steering system out and apart to fix the leaks from every available pore including the base of the reservoir.
While I have given away the PAS Steering box to someone else to do, I have the pump off the back of the dynamo. I have left the pump chamber intact as a) I do not think it is leaking from there and b) I do not have a seal kit to replace the large O-ring which will inevitably leak if it is disturbed. However the shaft seal need replacing.
I have already ordered a FIT-TOOLS shaft seal puller, but it would be useful to know the dimensions of the shaft seal so that I can order it in advance. The inner and outer dia are easy enough, but how deep is it?
