I have a power steering box parcelled up and ready to send off for a refurb. Any recommendations as to who to trust to do a good job? I'm aware of David Green but I suspect he may be on holiday as he isn't answering emails this week.

Unfortunately a straight refurbish without modification to the quad seal at the pitman arm end won't stop it weeping out fluid after a short time. An effective refurbishment is possible but not with the standard seal kit.

David was back on the 20th and the company he uses do as good a job as anyone else who does a standard rebuild

Unfortunately John it will still leak from the bottom quad seal after a short period of time with a standard repair kit as the sole solution. I believe you and I and perhaps others know this and have researched or carried out more effective fixes that are permanent. It's truly aggravating to remove a PSB for repair, get it back, refit it, and after a short period of time have all the associated issues that are caused by a 'weeping'or leaking PSB. I'm not stating that the individual mentioned doesn't do a thorough workman like standard repair. Moreso the standard kit alone won't solve the leak/constant weeping of fluid from the power steering unit long term!
PS. As Phil often suggests, use the search function. There are many posts discussing this issue and options relating to it.

Thanks for the comments. I don't have the skills or facilities to do a full blown remanufacture so I don't have much option but to go down the 'standard' overhaul route. If only Mr Green would look in his email inbox...

If you were in OZ Simon, I could put you on to the specialist I used.
If the box is working well, in most respects you'll find the only major leak/weep is from single quad seal (looks like an O ring) at the nose of the box where the pitman arm fits...just behind the ridiculous foam spacer/sponge!

Thanks David. The steering Box is on it's way to you via UPS. The covering letter is in the envelope stuck to the top of the parcel.
