First one I have attended. And it was a lonely affair as no-one else turned up! Nice food and a good pint at the Cross Hands at Old Sodbury if your ever passing. Had been looking forward to some Rover chat. Sadly none to be had. A very sad ? P5 owner. Maybe next time!

Hello project rover. Sorry that you was disappointed when you went to the regional pub meet. The gentleman who is the regional representative for that area has been taken ill and we are currently trying to find someone to replace him. If you would please send me a private message with you address I will be happy to talk with you as to where your next closet meet is ( unless you are a fully paid up member then of course you can look in the take 5 magazine.) I hope this hasn't put you off the club but as you can imagine illness can strike anyone at anytime and we as a club are trying to get cover for him
Your faithfully Paul McKay Regional Rep Coordinator Events coordinator Hampshire regional representative

Hear is an extract of an email to our local rep, Furthermore if the p5 meets are to be successful then a suggestion that they are held Saturday lunchtime would be helpful, I don't want to sit in a pub in the dark after a hard days work but would prefer to see other p5's and their owners in daylight. I don't understand the mentality of meeting in a pub when you can't drink and drive so why not a venue of some interest like Kingston Lacy and many other car parks with facilities. Please feel free to stick this in your news letter to see what feedback you get. Hope this is sufficient input. Seems as though the Bristol area is not the only area that needs a boost.

Seems you missed out this bit from Chucks, the Rover P5 Club Wessex Regional Rep email, Steve.
I have had some favourable comments about our “amalgamation” to a true WESSEX region including all the many new venues to look forward to, both Monthly Pub Meets and Rally’s.

Project rovers post suggest it is not just our region that may possibly change for the better.

Can anyone tell me if the meet at the Cross Keys at Sodbury * Bristol area ) is still on tonight. Only I do not fancy driving there to sit on my own and talk to myself. Could get some funny looks.

Hi. I realise this thread is quite old now, but I have moved house and things Rover have taken a back seat for a while.
I'm now living near Monmouth and would be interested in meeting up with other P5 owners. I'll try and head to Old Sodbury one evening, but wonder if there's anyone around the area who might want to meet up. Bristol seems the nearest meet, but I thought I would ask.
I have a P5B Coupe. It's not a show winner, but I use it quite a bit and I really enjoy it. Had a great drive from home to Royal Wotton Bassett before Christmas, via Tetbury, and back. Fantastic.

Hi Moonraker, I've recently moved to North Cardiff and would be happy to meet up.
Having owned my car for 16 years now I have built up a small stock of secondhand spares and some new bits and pieces so if there's anything you need let me know. I've also taken apart probably 90% of every nit and bolt on the car (Including the engine) and have a good selection of tools so let me know if you need help or advice with anything.
I've seen another P5B Coupe in the Cardiff area and I know there's at least one P5B Saloon in the Bridgend area.
I've been meaning to try and track down the owners but haven't got around to it yet as we only moved into our house in August.

Hi. Thanks for your post. It would be good to meet up. I'll send you a pm with my contact number if I can figure out how to do that.
It would be interesting to find out if there are any other owners in the area/region.
Thanks for the offer of parts/tools. I have not had to do much to mine so far, although there are some advisories from last MoT to do.
BW Phil
