Good Morning, I have checked back as far as 2006, but cannot find any information on the forum concerning, replacing the Front Wishbone Bump Stops. My question is, are they held in place with captive nuts? If they are not, then how the heck do you get a spanner in to undo them?

Captivated nuts Steve the steel faceted base is folded over so it's a case of unpicking and trying to tap it to unscrew it! best of luck

Thanks Phil, I was just going to put my hands on a diet so that I could get a spanner in

Now this is something that I've often pondered upon. Has anyone ever seen Phil and John together? Are they simply creations of David, designed to keep us all in line?

Good afternoon John, I now know, why you wished me luck lol, The front one was not problem, which was good, because to get to the back of it would of meant trying to remove the steering. The back one, the captive nut has escaped, and just keeps turning, I can just get a spanner on it, but I need three hands, so will have to wait until the weekend, when my son is off work. Putting the new front one in was a bit tight, but no real problems. Hopefully they will last for another 45 years, by then I will be 114 so I do not think it will worry me to much
