sugru.com/This product is new to me but was recommended to seal around the windscreen rubbers. Its like a soft putty which you knead by hand and roll or wedge it into gaps facing it off with a wet finger. It is an adhesive but sets like rubber with a dull appearance in 24hrs and appears like part of the original rubbers. Easier to apply than gun mastic and i see many other uses for it.

I would seriously have a rethink Eric 30 mins before it goes off all a bit unknown for windscreen fitting

I have kept it strictly between the rubber and the chrome - not touching the glass! You have a very good point John but i dont see any reference to this situation on their website.

i think John's reply is relevant - a cold rigid material adjacent to a heated glass windscreen might not be the best idea!
