i had my mate give my car a check over before it goes for the mot test he found the horn wasn't working and he checked the first battery control fuse and found it had blown, it had a 15A fuse fitted, is this the correct amperage fuse for this circuit? or does it require a higher rated fuse?. he also found the flasher repeaters need a couple of there bulbs replaced he said these are festoon 12v 3w if remembers back to when he used to work on this model is that correct other than this he thinks i'm in with a chance

Festoon 3W are correct and 25A or 30A fuse is better but the points may have shorted and those horns are "Not Servicable" modern equivalents will fit as will the P5/P4 old style serviceable. Its best to run the horns via a relay as they were on P5's

many thanks i forgot to say when the fuse was changed the horn worked but i will now change the fuse for the correct higher rated one. then it doesn't keep blowing this fuse.
