my side lights have all of a sudden refused to go out . have to pull the fuse for panel and parking and side lights to get them off ?
any vehicle electricians advise please .

Does the park position do anything? both lights on? the only item if all is as it should be is the switch!

had the switch tested ,all ok ? what wires should be connected to switch , maybe one has come off in dash ?anybody know please .

If you haven't moved any wiring what you describe doesn't make sense if you have a permanent feed to the side lights this can only be done by the switch being faulty OR someone has wired it up incorrectly a wire falling off is not an option!!
Pin1 Fuse 38 Pin 2 Jumps to pin 8 then Ammeter Pin 4 to fuse 29 and headlamp switch Pins 3/5/6/7 switched positions
Have you got a WS manual?

yes John , have manual . should i do some shuffling with the wiring connections , or will this burn out wiring or pop fuses /I got mot and when i got home saw lights on and they would not turn off .

The switch connectors are numbered on the back.
Pin 1 is red and brown, Pin 8 is brown and white, Pin 4 is red

Is this the type of switch where middle is off, R is all lights and L is parking lights only?

Yep it should be center off I did ask what happens in the park position? but??
