Has anyone seen the new DVLA advert about the old log books going out of date, with a rover P5 at the start of the advert?

Hello Kev, I thought I was seeing things when I first saw the advert!
Looks like it should be nice weather on sunday? Make sure you pop over and say a hello.

I asked the DVLA the situation with V5s for people who have cars that have not been used since before the SORN reulations came in (my restorations always take longer than I would like). I copy here their reply. So get those old V5s back to the DVLA pronto. Geoff DVLA has decided, unlike the rest of Europe, to issue the new V5C to all registered keepers in an accelerated rollout which started in June 2004 and will end on 31 May 2006. The accelerated rollout programme will issue a V5C to the registered keeper following relicensing and SORN notifications. There may be keepers who have a vehicle, which was taken off the road before the introduction of SORN (31/01/98). If they do not anticipate the vehicle being licensed before 31 May 2006, these keepers should send back their V5 with a covering letter for a new V5C. This should be sent to DVLA, Swansea SA99 1BA. Keepers, who require the old V5 back, should send the V5 to Vehicle Customer Services (VCS), DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AR, with a covering letter requesting a V5C and the return of the V5.

The number is easy to read and the owner must have been paid well because the four wheels, front bumper, and grill have been set out for the "post wash" shot Our cars seem to be popping up all over the place at the moment One made a brief appearance in the Vinney Jones film the other night. Richard
