An interesting listing, says 2 doors when it clearly has 4. Also says it is a manual transmission when also it clearly is an automatic!

Annoying isn't it, when they don't even know what they are selling?

From the pics it looks a nice car I certainly wouldnt be put off by lack of jacking points, there are a lot of rovers out there WITH jacking points which I wouldn't jack one up by. For under 10k it would be worth a look

Looking at the add it has used standard eBay definitions (Coupe - 2 Door) and they obviously haven't checked their template before loading re the 'Manual' gearbox.
Otherwise it looks like a pretty good car that's been put back on the road after a long period in storage.
As with any online add, buyer beware.

Didn't read about it I must admit I just looked at the pics, but lack of pin stripes on the body would suggest at the very least a lower half respray

Also no rocker chrome trim and obviously the sills should be black so it's had work but it still looks a nice car, but it would need closer inspection

It's always difficult to tell from photos, particularly lower resolution ones; it clearly isn't original and/or unrestored. The interior looks fairly good, although I'm not sure whether the driver's seat has split or whether it's reflections in the picture. The MOT history would certainly indicate the need for a close investigation. As I saw many poor/rusty P5/P5Bs even in the '70s, the passing of a further 40 years is unlikely to have improved the situation. Not related to this car, but I do find some adverts amusing; quite how MOT certificates going back to, say, 2004, confirming 'genuine mileage' of a 1965 car always amuse me. It would be 39 years old before records begin! Likewise, a couple of service stamps for the first 2 years don't really mean much on a 50-year old car. With old cars it's very much down to what you can see and any supporting paperwork. The fact that some 'celebrity' (whatever that means) actor once drove a similar car doesn't really mean much to me

Cant tell anything from pictures!! I fitted out a white coupe shell which had been done by a "so called body expert" a few years ago for a friend, it looked great until you got stuck into it plated over rust everywhere 2 years later the rust came through everywhere

Looks as if it need some TLC, no sill trims could be a warning about the state of the sills.

Have a closer look then check out its MOT history and run for the hills! (IMO) This car is described as "An original unrestored car" I bet it was only driven to church on Sundays as well.....Car Dealers have a way with words. It says very little about MOT History, how do you check it? ('Service History and mot's up to 1993'.) Do you guys have access to past MOT's? That would be very useful when buying a car.

We can get the MOT history -from Government/agency site back 10 years or so. I have records to 2006 for my 1970 coupe.
