A mate has just bought a 1969 AMC Javelin and needed a few plastic things fixed.
Someone told him to mix super Glue and Baking Soda, apparently it works a treat for making new plastic tabs etc or filling big cracks.
He had a broken tab on a courtesy light holder so made a mould with some clay or plasticine or similar of one side, positioned it on the other side, filled it with baking soda and added super glue. He said it set like concrete.
Haven't tried it myself, anyone ever heard of it?

I stumbled on a YouTube clip with someone demonstrating it, while searching for something else.

Mate showed me a couple of pictures today of a plastic panel that the screws had been ripped out of or just badly stripped and broken.
He filled them and rebuilt a broken one with this method, filed them down to shape and drilled them.
he hasn't tried painting it but apparently should be no issue.
