Hi I finally had 5 mins to actually take a photo of the old bus. 1965 mk2 manual with overdrive. If there are any previous owners on here I would love to hear from you. Unfortunately Norris the Morris (behind) has to be sold (if anyone is interested) , too many cars not enough time or space on the drive. The Rover didnt look THAT big when I purchased it but on my drive!! The more I drive it the more I really enjoy it, putting you in a happy and relaxed frame of mind, especially now its got decent heating again. 😉

Very nice, a big jump from the Morris with just a little bit more luxury haha Thank you. The moggy is my other halfs we love it but its not getting used much so has to go unfortunately. I used to have an Armstrong Siddeley 346 Saphire years ago which was bigger than the Rover great looking car but glad I sold it too unreliable for daily use. I updated mine with early hubcaps and whitewall trims looks exactly how I imagined it would now, very pleased. Although the Rover is imposing on the road it has a certain quiet understated charm, even in a carpark with modern tin.

I didn't see Dicky's post whilst looking at the photo but thought exactly the same thing. It looks like a newish Nissan Micra behind the P5 and a Polo on the left. Both 'small' cars, yet the P5 doesn't seem to dwarf them, whereas originally the P5 was a large car and looked it.

Both 'small' cars, yet the P5 doesn't seem to dwarf them, whereas originally the P5 was a large car and looked it. You are of course correct. I remember when I first saw the newer micra and toyota yaris ? Like the new mini (mini!!! Yeah) they are huge. Its a combination or safety regs airbags and the tonne of plastic padding manufacturers seem to put in these days? When you see a proper old mini next to any car today they are teeeny weeny, even the Japanese Kai cars are still large (tall at least). I have a mark 1 mx5 and that is a midget compared to cars today and that is only 20 years old. The Rover is still wider than some today but the chrome embellishments, sharp bumpers and teeth do make it stand out. I love it.😀 My favourite shot is the back of car there is a touch of Volvo Amazon about it probably why I like those too? The small oval rear lights just look so right.

Looks in good nick, what's the interior like?
Always wanted a Coupe but the more I see the saloons the more I love the old classic style.

Good looking car!. The color is nice for a P5 Peter Thank you Peter. Steel blue apparently. Its the colour combination that swung it for me. Pale grey interior keeps it all nice and light inside.

The car had a complete restoration including bare metal respray. The doors clunk perfectly too unusual for any classic I have owned before. Interior is in perfect condition, pale grey leather light blue/grey carpets, will take some pics later for you. I do love the coupes however I always liked the saloons because of the roof line its just flows perfectly to me. Also handy if you like wearing Victorian Top Hats , plenty of headspace. 😂

Hi stan, let me know [please] if you ever decide to sell it I'm in Derbyshire next door to you, of all the 3 litres and 3.5 litres the mk11c 1965 is my pick of the bunch, before 1965 it was building up to the best after 1965 it was downhill, that's my opinion without upsetting anyone as they was all great cars.
