Looking for some guidance please, my head lights have been a problem since getting my car back from the restorer, sometimes they come on and if they don’t leaving the lever switch down and the side light switch on they can come on of their own accord. Also they flicker and whilst out last night I noticed the instrument lights are also flickering, although the two problems may be separate the latter has be baffled, I’ve checked earthing points which seem ok, any help as always appreciated, Sean.

Did you clean the earths/grounds back to clean 'bare' metal. Don't assume they're functional...high resistance at these connections cause all sorts of electrical gremlins/issues. Try not to be precious about paint where electrical (earth) connections are concerned.

Thanks Enigma/Dicky, Ill check the earths as you say it all points to this since the work was done, rheostat has been by passed due to the heat it was producing so that's one thing eliminated. Dicky ill post some pictures when I get the hang of it, something I only did once years ago. All the best.
