What is the collectives view on new shocks for the P5b - are Spax state of the art? or are there other alternatives that you guys would recommend?

I started a thread on shocks a few weeks ago. I have just fitted a set of Spax, but with the car laid up for winter have yet to try them. I bought them from Wadhams and they are ready to fit. I was told that the ones sold by the club are not totally ready to fit - but this may not be true. There are Woodhead available on ebay, but they may be old stock and may have deteriorated with age.

I used Gaz shocks a few years ago. I found the front bolt sleeves for the lower suspension ring supplied were too thin and I had to reuse the originals until I had some made out of stainless.
