Hi guys!
I just thought I’d ask if you know, if rear seatbelt mounting points are already built-in into my ‘73 Coupe’ or whether I’m going to have to modify it, in order to fit some?
I have 11yr-old twin boys and a 5yr-old son too, and don’t really want them to travel in her ‘unbelted’ if it isn’t necessary?
Oh, and can I still fit rear headrests, if I have rear seatbelts fitted too??? 🤪🤔😀
Kind Regards,
Minty 🙂

Minty,
You should have those in your car. Mine also a 73 coupe had them. If you feel along the rear parcel shelf pressing carefully on the vinyl surface, you should feel the holes in the far corners near the door shut. I made small holes i the vinyl and mounted the until on top, the captive nuts were already below. There were corresponding captive nuts in the floor under the rear seats. Cheers Ray

Hello Ray, Cheers for that fella - it’s very much appreciated sir! I’ll go and have a look later...One further quick question for you actually - do you know if the captive-nuts thread is imperial or metric please? Kind Regards, Guy.

I too have young children and fitted lap rear seat belts in my saloon. They do more or less the same job, are easier to fit and are more comfortable for children.
