Hi Folks
With intermittent rain - I tend to switch the windscreen wipers on momentarily to clear the screen - so just one or two wipes across the screen and then re-home
I have to lean in to reach the switch on the dash and was wondering if I could re-wire the headlamp flash on the steering column indicator stalk to trigger the wipers ( there's a headlamp flash switch on the floor so I don't need two ways of doing this )
Has anyone done this before ? and if not, and you know about these things, would you foresee and problems ?
My thinking was to disconnect the existing wire for the headlamps on the indicator stalk and then to extend the existing wiring from the wiper switch to the terminal
Any thoughts ??
Regards Tony

Have you looked at the number of different wires connected to the back of the wiper switch ?

Based on the research that I did (and help that I got) when fitting the wiper motor - I believe that I need to switch a 12v feed from the indicator stalk to to the Brown green wire on the switch - which connects to the slow speed wire on the motor.....

All you can do is try it, although they will probably not park, but you will loose the ability to flash the headlamps. The swirch on the floor is to dip the lights and only works when the headlights are on

I attempted re-wiring my windshield wiper switch and it was a nightmare. 6 pins on the main switch and a few more on the variable speed control on my P5 Coupe. I be wary of tackling that project if you don't have to.

Perhaps something you havent considered. You can get extensions for the toggle switch paddles. Would make them a bit easier to get to.
