After sorting a few bits out on the Rover over the past few weeks engine wise, not least fitting the correct spark plugs for one (bleep bleep previous owners!) and no more tappety taps from the manifold, the Rover does now sound like the super smooth straight 6 its supposed to. Its been superb, the best since I purchased it. With this current hot weather in the UK( long may it stay) I was glued to the temp gauge but no its been perfect not budged over normal even in stop/start traffic today. My Armstrong Siddelely used to puff steam if it ever sat for more than 5 mins! So well done Rover for building such a great car with that extra capacity to cover hot weather and not wee out all the coolant. Of course I had forgotton how hot the glasshouse makes the Rover, even with all windows down, crotch coolers and vents open. It really needs aircon as much as I dont like it? Wonder if an MX5 aircon unit would fit, its small and readily available?

Magnificent photo, Stan. Also I'm probably seeing it better than I would have previously. The new laptop has a full HD gaming quality screen.
I see it's on Photobucket, so presumably you paid them.

Thanks mate. No they will probably ditch it at short notice without telling me. Oooh my shiny new exhaust system turned up today from Mr Wadhams! So thats the next task, however my temporary patches did a good job holding the rust inside the silcencer so far. 😀
