I always wanted a Bentley Mk 6 they look fab. Coincidentally my friend recently purchased an R Type and like the fool let me drive it!! No pressure then. It is superb, easy to drive, well other than having biceps like Arnold Schwarzenegger after the steering! Its his first proper classic car and guess who is going to teach him how to service it! 😀😀 I downloaded the owners manual and honestly it looks peasy weasy compared to even the Rover! You dont even need to jack up the wheels to adjust the brakes! Lazy or what! Absolutely beautiful car very smooth an event just to go to the petrol station (which he will get to know very well) 🤣

Certainly is a lovely vehicle Stan. On OS friend of mine who has a Magnificent V8 Magnette fitted with Borrani wire wheels, fitted electric power steering to the Magnette you see below. The system is adapted to the steering column under the dash. The OEM steering box and all the orginal mechanical linkages are retained. The system allows you to dial in the degree of assistance that feels appropriate. A lot of these are now being fitted to vintage and classic vehicles to make them more user friendly.

My friend has already been looking at that sort of thing, he is used to modern cars so its a bit of a shock getting into an old design like that? They do similar systems over here too , you can get them for VW Bay window campers, personally I never had a problem with unassisted steering, well unlike the over assisted sneeze and you are in a ditch P5!!! Oh I would love a set of those wheels for the Rover? Probably too heavy car for them?
