Well, I have got her back after relations with the restorer let's say 'Broke Down' I won't use the forum as a platform to what happened. Many thanks to John Wallett for helping me sort out what was needed. Without him I would be up the amazon without a paddle. I still have some work to do on her. The main thing is she is on the road. Nearly 12 years ago, when I searched on line to show my 11-year-old son what a P5B Coupe looked like, this was the car I found. He was impressed. A couple of months later, while we were driving home from an outing to the British & European Car Show at Flemington racecourse to see several at the Rover Car Club's display, he talked me into driving from Melbourne to Brisbane to buy one that Easter.

Wrong Switches Fitted Lights not working Copper Brake pipe dangerous Steering box leaking Diff full of rust Handbrake not working Dash Broken in half!! Thanks to David Green and Dave Cole who helped out with parts at least GB has a good starting block now and he will get there

They were reported to the DVSA by myself. I spoke to a gentleman who rang me. As John had fixed some of the issues (let's be honest, you want it rectified asap) he could not help but he did assure me that the MOT station would get an unsuspected visit. This should easily have been done by now that is why I am posting it.

We forgot to add to the list GB no Speedo as the angle drive was torn off to the box with a broken cable in the angle drive then another inner cable inserted

It will all come good in the end Glenn.
Just be thankful you didn't use my 'restorer'. Thirteen years it took to get the car back, then another year to get it sorted. Sad thing was even after a year of driving, I fell out of love with it and sold it. The car now resides on the Isle of Wight. :-(
