Recently I'm getting a lot of pop-ups on this forum, mostly telling me of imminent disaster on my computer and that I need to click on their link to fix things, which I don't do obviously. It only happens here, and it's random as to which section I'm looking at at the time. It is a PITA though as they disable the back button to make you think that you really do have a problem. Closing the window always sorts it though. (So far...)
Just FYI.

You will have picked up some tracking cookies or malware from elsewhere that is manifesting itself in those popups. A really good antivirus, antimalware software will help, along with regular housekeeping on your pc. Also if you ever look at download type sites this is most likely where you have picked it up from. Anything with questionable legality usually has that kind of rubbish attached.

As Roy said. Clear your cache and history. Find you browser security settings ad disable pop-ups.
