Would I be correct in assuming that the rear headrest option for these cars will fit both saloon and coupe models or are they a different shape??
Regards,

Regards, There is no difference Mmm, im confused now as ive been told earlier today that they are different in that the rear shelf on the coupe is different to the saloon model thus the headrests are a slightly different shape?? Very frustrating as I don't wish to buy the wrong pair.

Sorry misread I was thinking fronts!! because I don't associate the coupe with rear headrests they never came with them and in "my opinion" they don't look right and block too much of the rear screen but the choice is yours

Yes Brendon, John is right, as far i'm aware rover never made rear headrests for a coupe. Saloon only! Every coupe' set i've come accross are aftermarket ones made by general coachtrimmers. The problem with putting saloon rear headrests in a coupe' is not the rear shelf but the rear screen, the angle of the rear screen is different and the headrests touch the screen where the screen starts to make the turn. So basically saloon ones will fit a coupe as long as you are aware of the screen being fowled and of course rear viewing is compromised.

Cheers guys albeit I was not referring to a coupe specifically. Just if the REAR headrest fit either model.
I plan on buying a SALOON model and ive been chatting with a seller who has 2 sets of rear headrests which HE says are different between the 2 models. As I am a newby I can only relay on info given to me and this guy is a Rover specialist who sells lots of P5Bbits and bobs.
Personally I have always felt they are the same and I am also aware of the 2 models differing roof lines at the rear etc but was just seeking some clarification before I bought a pair off the seller. It seems he is wrong in what he is saying and the club is right.
One of the main reasons as to why I joined so I can get best possible advice and guidance on these such matters.
My many years search for my ideal P5B saloon could also be over and I am keeping my fingers crossed today for a positive outcome of which I will let you all know if I become the proud owner of a P5B saloon today or not.
Cheers guys.

.... and have decided not to fit retro ET headrests to the front for similar reasons ie appearance and limited rear vision. Eric, you should reconsider not adding the front seat headrests (restraints). Given the way people drive these days, and rely on ABS when tailgating, you could suffer a nasty neck injury if you were rear-ended.
