Hi.
Just thought I'd do a bit of a "formal" presentation as a new owner and member.
The car is not new to the forum or club I think, but not quite sure how active its been.
I'm in Norway, and first noticed the car when it was on wheeler dealers a few years back and really fell for the interior combined with the exterior look. I already have a 1913 Cadillac as a veteran car and a Lotus 340R as a play thing, but with a now 9 month old daughter, I thought maybe it would be fun to have a more useful classic/hobby car. (One with more than two seats, or a roof, or that could actually be driven somewhere).
Anyways was on a semi lookout for one for a little while and talked to a few people around Europe who had nice examples for sale, but nothing materialized. Last November an ad turned up for a Norwegian car, which looked very good. It was a saloon, and located in Stavanger, (I'm in Oslo) but I figured should at least go and look at it when someththing so close to what I was thinking about came up and was offered for what seemed like a reasonable price.
So, I flew over, got picked up at the airport and went for a very nice test drive. The car was everything I had hoped it would be. After having had a discussion with my wife who was much less negative than I had expected (expecting her to be positive would be pushing it :-) an deal was agreed. As this was in December, and the seller had winter storage available, we agreed that we would finalize the deal in April, when I would fly back to Stavanger and drive the car back to Oslo.
The seller would also carry out a few minor fixes and get it MOT'ed before that time.
So anyways, at the end of April everything was finalized and again I was picked up at the airport by a very nice looking car.
All looked good, so I started my 320 mile return trip.
After a couple of hours, it started raining and stayed wet almost the whole time. The car was however watertight, so other that the fact that the window wipers don't really work very well, and even though this is an original Norwegian LHD car, Rover never bothered to switch the wind shield wipers direction around, so every time you turn the wipers off the park feature leaves a line of water right in your sight line.
Other than that the car performed flawlessly the whole time.
So anyways, the car is a 1969 Rover P5b saloon, purchased new in Norway. It has done either 126000 or 226000 km since new. The odometer only goes to 100 k km (60k miles) and it rounded that sometime in the early 90's, but I think it also rounded in the 70's, but not sure about that. The previous owner has done a full restoration of the bodywork getting rid of all rust and repainting.
The interior is pretty much original. The technical stuff has all been gone over, and is in decent order. (Leaking a little bit from the power steering and gearbox, but having played with british cars before, if it's not leaking its empty :-) )
The plan going forward is really just to enjoy it.

Great looking example you have there alfheim. Please enjoy it as much as you can. They are great cars and yours has some lovely period features too such as the Webasto sunroof which I wish mine had. Maybe one day it will.
