My P5b Coupe’s restoration is virtually finished now and I’d really like to buy a pair of Genuine Rover REAR mudflaps to ‘finish her off nicely’ and compliment the set of alloy wheelarch-liners I also have, waiting to be fitted...
If anyone has a pair of proper Rover mudflaps their willing to sell, I’m happy to pay a very-good price for a nice pair! 😜
I’m a great believer in using my old cars wherever possible - indeed, I drove my 1938 Rover 12, 6k miles last year! Whilst I won’t intentionally get the Coupe’ wet and dirty unnecessarily, She won’t just be a car-show queen! 🤪...if she gets some mud under her arches, then so be it - it’s what she was made for! 👍
I’m quite expecting to have to pay a three-figure price for a good set of mud-flaps too mate (not the £4.99 type either!) but it’s something I’d really like to have on her - I really think they finish the cars off nicely. 🤔
Funnily enough, I went to the Holywell Steam Rally today, and what should be there, but an all-but identical ‘68 P5b Coupe’ in Burnt Grey over Silver Birch with a Mulberry Interior, complete with front & rear headrests - just like mine!...OMR464G - I was sooo pleased to see it but, I sooo wished it was mine! 😁
My new pair cost me of OEM P5B rears cost me £150 in the end buddy and im glad I paid it as they look great on the car. The fronts I was quite lucky because they are actually P6 fronts and only cost me £15 off ebay and they were new. Sadly the seller realised what he had and subsequently increased the price to £50 I think and they have all gone.
I do know JRW have both P5B sets in stock BUT they wont part with them for anything. Their answer was, " if we get a bulk order for them then we shall have them made up ".
