The South East Rover Rally 2020
The South East Rover Rally 2020 - Update April 2020 Coronavirus (COVID-19):
You will all be aware of the current situation and Government advice. I have been in contact with our venue for the 2020 event and due to the current situation they are closed to the public until the 1st of May. They say they will be constantly monitoring and will review the situation as matters progress. Clearly this situation is developing and whilst we are not sure of where we will be by June 14th, it is currently looking unlikely that this event will be held.
I will contact the venue again in late April and hope to be in a position by early May to make a decision and notify you all of that decision at that time.( via E-mail; See below if you need to contact me)
It is nice to think that there may be a lifting of restrictions and the opportunity to go out for such an enjoyable occasion. So I will delay the final decision to the latest possible date …just in-case matters improve.
In the circumstances the event cannot take place on this date, I propose to postpone the whole event until 2021 when we will proceed on the similar weekend in June 2021 at the same venue.
If you have already entered you will have two choices:-
1. Advise me of your entry details and seek a refund (electronic payments would be easiest)
2. Advise me of your entry details and seek your entry is moved to the 2021 date (payment can stay with the SERR account until we know details in 2021).
I do not need your decision now. if you are on my e-mail list, I will send again in early May and I will arrange whatever is required by the circumstances at that time.
If you are not on my e-mail list and have already entered you can check with me (via E-mail preferably) in May to see what is happening, those without e-mail can either telephone, or post any response they need to make.
In the meantime,
Keep polishing your lovely cars and stay safe.
Kindest regards
Ray
