What you need is a 3 litre MkIIC or Mk3 owner who has seized his motor or cracked the block. I cannot imagine that there are many such persons in the world. There is the additional difficulty of someone having to take your word for it that the said work has been done to a high standard. There are therefore two prices: 1) what the block alone is worth to replace a seized / cracked item - ball park figure 500. 2) then there is the value of a newly recon motor that is not direct from the reconditioner, with no recourse should there be a problem - again ball park figure 3,000 (I have spent that much on parts alone rebuilding my MkIIb).
These figures are just my personal opinion, and others may differ.
Advertise everywhere including international, and expect to keep advertising for 12 months is my advice. Look up international and local shipping rates too will help.
Good luck, I feel for you!
