Hi I have just joined the forum, this is my 63 P5 which had been converted to a 4.4 v8 from a Leyland p76 before I bought her. I have had her for more than ten years. Her name is Georgina (from first owner) and has lots of history. Sadly she was painted white over the original grey, badly and the white started to flake off and plenty of rust came through in sills and A pillars. I have all parts to repair but due to long working hours had no time but I could not bring myself to sell her. So.... I've just done the subframe and suspension and will start rust repairs soon. i have a 3.9 efi motor to go in and a 4 speed zf auto. The wheels are Ford falcon pattern 16 inch and she is lowered all round. Not sure what colour to repaint her but white does look good (at moment she is a bare shell) I do have some spare panels and mechanical components in shed for backup or to help others out Forum is great, lots of goof info regards Bret (rover63)

Looking forward to seeing regular updates of your progress on the car Brett. As an aside my MK3 coupe also runs a P76 V8 (for the last 27 years). It's been a viable car with the P76 V8 for a longer period of time than it ever was running the original factory 3 litre 6 cyl engine. (Vince)

Hi Brett. Jen and I live in Esperance and have an updated P5/P5b. Would like to catch up with you one day to share experiences when this travel restricted time passes. Cheers, Tim.

I have been off the forum for some time with work n other projects (have 6 Vw's on the go) i was tossing up the idea of selling my P5 project saloon but couldn't do it. (Advertised with no sold offers, couple of rude stupid ones though) and I think I'm glad she didn't sell. so it's time to bit the bullet n get on with repairs before she rusts way completely started tackling the sills, just gotta figure out photo sizing n posting
