Morning all. Need to replace the tyres on my P5b. What would you suggest? Currently have 185 r15 on it (a bit confused as to why there's no second number on it eg 185 75 r15) What are the alternatives? Would like to keep it looking standard.

Hello kiajon
The shoes of myy P5B 3 1/2 Ltr. Coupé are since I bought it over 31 yyears ago wider ones than the original 185 / 80 HR15:
> 205/70 R15 90W
First they were Avon TurboSteel, now Michelin XWX (rather expensive over here...).
In my opinion, they do suit the car very well and definitely, because it is heavy, better than the thin original ones (I think originally Dunlop SP).
Furthermore, according to my taste, thyey do still optically fit well.
Hope this helps ; )
Peter
P.S No idea, whyy the small "Y" and the "X" (= " !)are not accepted, typing this post. I often made this experience on website-forms.

I had last year a set of 205 70 15 Maxxis white bands fitted on mine and they look and ride lovely. I had a full set of 5 and they cost me all in just under £500.
Personal choice what ever you choose to go with.
