As it's been a bit quiet on the forum of late I thought I'd add this interesting piece of historic information about Leyland Australia and the work they were carrying out with regard to the development of a V6 engine. Here are a couple of links The P76_V6Leyland P76_V6 Dyno Test

Well Westtoz the BW35s seemed to last well behind P76 V8s, and chrysler 245 hemis in Valiants. The hemi 6 cyl engine was and still is a very grunty engine...much more so than the Rover V8. These were OZ built BW35s with bigger bands and friction drums. The gear train too was slightly different and not directly interchangeable with the UK components.

Vince, any truth to the old rumour that Leyland was trying to sell the V-twin that they hack-sawed off, to Victa?
