I have a couple of queries which I am hoping somebody may be able to help with;
1. My car is a 1971 P5B coupe. Should it have the straight headrest bars or the cranked type? 2. Does anyone know of a source of the sockets into which the headrests plug? I seem to remember from the dim and distant past that they were made by Belkin but can find nothing via Google. Are they still made? If so, where can I obtain them?
Many thanks in advance for any assistance!

The P5B should have straight stalks, and the bulkin plug/socket is no longer available, but if you do manage to find some somewhere check their sizes accuratley as they came in several sizes at the time. PS, JRW supply the brackets with provisions for a bulkin socket but not the socket itself. But TBH it wouldn't be that difficult to make a socket up yourself.

Many thanks for your replies.
I suspected that the sockets are no longer made but it is good to have it confirmed.
I am particularly grateful for the pictures of the headrest mounts with and without the sockets fitted. As you say, I could quite easily make a couple of sockets, especially now I have an idea of what they should look like when installed. Fortunately I already have the mounts in my seats even though the car came to me without the headrests which I now have.
I have today finished installing freshly re-trimmed rear seats so the back half is now pristine. It is certainly kept me busy these many weeks hand stitching most of the seams! Now onto the front seats - covers already made, foam still to do. Hence the need to get the sockets/wiring issue sorted before I reassemble the seats. Nearly there!

It is Bulgin and still exists although those connectors are obsolete as stated above

Took my headrests off the shelf today to give the leather a feed and fiddled with the button / adjustment mechanism as the bottom covers are off but it is all jammed solid and cannot see how it operates. I could unscrew it and remove for investigation easily enough but cannot see how the plastic part operated by the button can be disconnected. Any guidance appreciated.

PS!! I tried pressing the button REALLY hard and it freed itself and now operates OK. Mind you, it had not been used for about 25 years.

The button just pulls off and pushes back on - an interference fit.
The adjustment uses a pivot mechanism that's latched by a friction hold on a bar. Pushing the button releases the friction hold on the bar
