I saw somewhere, I'm not sure if it was the club magazine explaining how to overhaul the heater diverter. I remember it can't be taken apart and I'm sure it said to soak it. Problem is I can't find this information. Doesn't anybody know where that might have been and also can you tell me what the heater diverter does and if in fact the black knob should move. Be grateful for any info.

Welcome to the forum The heater valve should pull up and push down it is more than likely stuck, soak it in WD40 or Diesel for a few days and if your lucky it will move I wont say it will work as it should as the rubber seal may have seen better days! Or try Brendan's method. Best of luck

Cheers John, Mine still works perfectly after my method i used to free it off. Took me a few days to achieve but the results were worth it. I often turn it and push it open and closed to keep it nice and free. I think i mentioned it all in my thread as i also carried out a complete heater system overhaul with all new hoses and pipework. Both heaters work lovely now.
Regards,
